The Middle East is a region where cars and truck is king and fuel is inexpensive, often leaving little reward to discover more environmentally-friendly ways of walking around.
But this year, as demonstrations across the Middle East have pressed up the rate of oil, the concern of discovering alternative sources of fuel has entered into sharp focus.
In an area that has among the highest carbon footprints in the world, one company is benefiting from the growing pressure to find options to oil. It's established the Middle East's first scheme to recycle cooking oil into biodiesel. It's proving rewarding too, currently their client-list consists of McDonald's.
