Indonesia B40 Biodiesel Plan would be 'Catastrophic' For World

KUALA LUMPUR, Oct 8 (Reuters) - A top palm oil industry analyst on Tuesday said Indonesia's strategy for the extensive usage of the palm-oil based B40 biodiesel from next year would be "devastating".

KUALA LUMPUR, Oct 8 (Reuters) - A leading palm oil industry analyst on Tuesday stated Indonesia's prepare for the extensive use of the palm-oil based B40 biodiesel from next year would be "devastating" for the worldwide market, as it would include the extra usage of 1.5 to 1.7 million metric tons of the product.


Oil World senior analyst David Mielke also said worldwide palm oil production is expected to increase by 2.3 million metric loads in 2024/25 compared to the previous season.
